About the FSH & LH Test
This test measures Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinising Hormone (LH), which regulate the ovaries in women and the testes in men. In women, these hormones guide the menstrual cycle and ovulation and help assess fertility and menopausal status; in men, they help investigate fertility and testosterone production. They are a core part of any reproductive hormone assessment.
Preparation and turnaround
A venous blood sample is taken; in women, the timing within the menstrual cycle is often important, and our team will advise when you book. Fasting is not usually required. Results are typically available within one to two working days and are best interpreted by a doctor.
